Bowling Sketches

Some people sketch in coffee houses and what not, well, recently, I did a little sketching in a bowling alley between frames.  I was trying something new, with a specific goal in mind, using line and simple shapes to capture a likeness.  The two yellow ones were completed in about a minute or two in the bowling alley...

...and hopefully you can recognize these two.  They were done using prismacolor fine line markers in a sketchbook, maybe 10 minutes each.

This is really just an experiment, but please let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Some More Sketches...

I haven't been pushes my sketches too far recently, but here are a couple of drawings that turned out pretty neat... I think so at least.

I really really liked the look of this drawing...

The dad is the reason this photo exists.

Two bloggers, Stephen and Megan, they were cool writer types.

... and Ayana, a tattoo girl.

Downtime at the park.

There's been plenty of it lately, but I hope for it to pick up soon... but for now, here are some drawings of the peeps I work with, done during the "downtime"

This is Chi, she's awesome, don't believe me? Click here

Richard, a new artist at the park

Ashley, she's one of the tattoo girls

And Andrew...he used to work at Subway as a sandwich artist... he also likes comic books?

And when were not drawing each other in the humid, hot,  Atlanta heat... we're "drawing" flies... heres one I caught last week.

Disgusting I know...

Airbrush Samples.

With some slow times in the park, and empty spaces on the wall, (an entire stand as a matter of fact...) I've been working on a couple samples to hang, getting everything together for the summer. I definitely like some of these better than others, but decided to show them all. Enjoy!

Let me know what you think!
