Ink Sketches

Both of these were done in class as we are experimenting with different surfaces...

glass and chrome...

Not satisfied with where I am in this media yet... I want to tighten up a little but still maintain the certain aqueous media sketch look to it... I'm working on it... Just thought I'd share my progress thus far.

Atmospheric Landscape Painting

My latest assignment for my watercolor class is this, atmospheric landscapes.  I did two of them because I wasn't too fond of my first one (which actually appears here second.)  First one is 12" x 16" in size and the second is 10" x 14." Both completed in black india ink.

Ink Wash Still Life

I've been unusually interested in puppets lately, Don't ask why but this is a still life with two hand puppets and a hat.  The one on the left is one that I made, a cow wrapped in bacon, and the one on the right is one that I purchased, a shark

I find ink incredibly challenging.  Especially since we are not to use white ink to lighten values that we take too far,  I would really enjoy pulling out some highlights, but it is what it is.
