Shameless Self Promotion

Heres a little CD case/brochure/business card holder that I put together for my Art 3000 - Professional Practices class.  The project was to create a leave behind for potential employers to remember you by.

The outside elements were made using chip board, oriental papers, and Adobe Illustrator files printed on 100% cotton paper.   Assembled using basic book making techniques.

Business card is removable.

Clamshell opens up to reveal CD that includes resume and portfolio images. Brochure contains thumbnails of portfolio images.  All elements were created in Illustrator.  Brochure put together using InDesign

Better Now?

**FINAL**
I've still been wrestling with some background ideas here and I have something that I like a little better...

Also I cleaned up the hairline and made some sensitive adjustments to some of the line weights...

Let me know what you think, any and all input is well appreciated! thanks!

Black and White Vector Art

This was completed as an assignment for my computer applications class, black and white vector illustration.  Done primarily with the pen tool creating closed paths for all the shapes.  It may or my not be 100% done yet, I'm not sure but its not due until next Thursday.  If it changes dramatically I'll post it again, and if you guys have any suggestions let me know, I'm not 100% sold on the image as a whole yet.  I'll probably toy with it a little here and there.

**EDIT**
Without Black Shape

Let me know what you think!

Illustrator Magazine Cover

My first endeavor into the incredibly powerful Adobe Illustrator program., a magazine cover completed as part of an assignment for my computer applications class.  All the images were scanned in from various magazines (National Geographic June 2005 and April 2005, and AfterCapture August/September 2008) and clipped using the pen tool path applied as a clipping mask.  All the article titles, and the magazine title and tag-line are original though.

There is a lot going on, because the image had to contain 7 images and 4 article titles.  I definitely learned a lot with the assignment and I'm excited about the next two for the coarse, Black and White Vector Illustration, and Color Vector Illustration!  Keep an eye out for those two coming within the next month or so!
