Sorry all, I know I've been MIA here on the blog for about a month now, I took sometime off to enjoy myself and what not, still sketching but nothing too post worthy. But I'm back in school, have been for about 2 weeks now. I'm taking painting, sculpture, and bookmaking so you will see a LOT of that sort of thing this semester. Mainly you'll see a lot of painting. I have a painting a day project (more like a couple a week) that I have to keep up with. Each painting is 6"x6" and will be featuring this pear! I haven't decided if I'm going to post all of them, Don't know if I'll bore you with that....perhaps I will. Until I decide here is the first painting in the series. Still kinda tinkering with painting, haven't quite figured it out, so hopefully this project will force me to gain the knowledge!

Oil? Looking good though. Very nice color on that. Maybe a little more asymmetry with the composition?
Yup it's oil! Thanks! I'm not super concerned with composition, these are more of a study but the smack in the middle isn't 100% the best comp. I've already competed four of them, two are a little less symmetrical... we'll see where it goes from here!
